Effects of COVID 19 on scout and guides practices.

 Introduction.

The scout and guides organisation is a organisation which provides children with the necessary information and training about survival,And builds character as well as confidence in children.but ofcourse these outdoor activities were not possible during pandemic but there are a lot of scout and guides organisation around the world like Bharat scout and guides, Americans scout and guides which provided online or virtual sessions of scout and guides practices so this type of virtual sessions had both advantages as well a lot of disadvantages let's look over them in detail.

History of scout and guides practices.

The scout and guides practices were first made by Robert only for boys between the age of 11to18 ages, in 1907 he conducted the first scout and guides practices which soon became very popular,in 1908 he again published a book named scouting for boys which too became a instant hit amount people and sold over 100 million copies around the world.from him only many scout and guides organisation that we know today.

Advantages of online scouting.

During the pandemic period many organisations like the Bharat scout and guides organisation and Americans scout and guides organisation conducted virtual sessions or classes in which children could be able to learn and do scouting from the safeness of their homes, many rewards were also rewarded for this and since the children were able to learn and do scouting from their comforts of their home many children too started to join the scout and guides practices in India and wanted to learn about them, and also their parents or families could be track on what are the things that their children are doing in scout and guides practices.

Disadvantages of online scouting.

Some of the disadvantages of online scouting was that scouting is meant only for outdoor like football or cricket and we all know that football or cricket can't be played inside our home like that only scouting can't be done fully or functionally without face to face interaction or withouth any kind of outdoor activities and also during the pandemic many outdoor activities were not possible and the teachers had to teach what is possible for them to teach via online sessions so ofcourse children were not able understand what they were teaching as the teachers also found it different or difficult to make the children follow or to teach them through virtual sessions therefore many children were not able fully learn scout and guides practices in pandemic.

Conclusion.

The conclusion that I give for this blog is that because of this pandemic many things happened around the world like GDP of countries were severely affected and children had to face difficulty in attending online classes like online scout and guides practices, online school classes etc.but they were not able to learn anything fully and many children don't even have a phone these were some of the problems of online classes or online sessions. But we must also see the other side as if these online classes were not there children would have missed 2 years of education and other activities like Scouting because of that sessions only we were able to learn and do outdoor activities from the safeness and comforts of our home as the famous quote goes something is better than nothing.so we must be thankful for these online classes and online sessions which made us learn during pandemic.

Changes in students attitude to technology

A few years ago Over the years, there has been a significant change in students' attitude towards technology. Gone are the days when technology was viewed as a mere tool for entertainment or occasional use. Today, technology has become an integral part of students' lives, from the way they learn to the way they communicate with others. This shift in attitude towards technology has brought about several changes in the way students approach their education and personal development.

Of course, with all these positive changes, there are also some concerns surrounding the increased use of technology by students. Issues such as online safety, digital distractions, and the digital divide still exist, and it is essential to address them to ensure students make the most out of technology without compromising their well-being or education. Educators and parents need to work together to create a safe and balanced digital learning environment that harnesses the potential of technology while promoting responsible and mindfulness.

In conclusion, the change in students' attitude towards technology has revolutionized the way they learn, communicate, and approach problem- solving. Technology has become an indispensable tool that empowers students to take control of their education, explore new horizons, and connect with a global community. As long as we address the challenges that come with it, technology will continue to shape the future of education and equip students with the skills they need to thrive in the digital age.

One of the most apparent changes is the increased reliance on technology for leaming Nowadays, students have access to a vast array of digital resources and online learning platforms that can help them enhance their knowledge and skills. They use technology to research, collaborate with peers, and access educational materials at the fingertips This has made the learning process more efficient and convenient, allowing students to leam at their own pace and explore subjects beyond the confines of traditional classroom wallsFurthermore, technology has also changed the way students communicate and connect with others With the advent of social media platforms, online messaging apps, and video conferencing tools, students can now easily connect with their classmates, teachers, and even experts from around the world.

This globalization of communication has opened up new opportunities for collaboration, knowledge shanng. and cultural exchange Students can now work on group projects remotely, participate in virtual classrooms, and engage in discussions with like-minded individuals without any geographical barriersAnother significant change that technology has brought about is the way students approach problem-solving and critical thinking With the abundance of information available at their fingertips, students are now required to analyze, evaluate, and synthesize information to solve complex problems. They are encouraged to think critically, question assumptions, and develop innovative solutions using technology as a tool This shift towards a more student-centered and inquiry-based approach to learning has empowered students to become active learners and take ownership of their education.

Promoting teacher well-being and self care During Covid-19

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought unprecedented challenges to education worldwide. Teachers
have been at the forefront of adapting to remote learning, hybrid classrooms, and ever-changing
safety protocols. Amidst this turmoil, prioritizing teacher well-being and self-care has never been
more critical.
1. Acknowledging the Strain:
Teachers have faced a lot of pressure to ensure quality education while dealing with personal
concerns, health risks, and the emotional toll of the pandemic. It’s essential to acknowledge the
strain they are under.
2. Encouraging Open Communication:
Creating a culture of open communication is crucial. Teachers should feel comfortable sharing their
concerns, anxieties, and needs with administrators and colleagues. This helps identify areas of
support and a sense of belonging.
3. Providing Professional Development:
Offering training on managing stress, implementing self-care strategies, and using tech
effectively can empower teachers to navigate the challenges of remote and hybrid teaching more
efficiently.
4. Flexibility in Workload:
Schools should consider adjusting expectations and workloads to account for the additional time and
effort required for remote teaching. Balancing professional responsibilities with personal life is
crucial for teacher well-being.
5. Promoting Self-Care:
Teachers must prioritize self-care. Encourage them to establish routines, set boundaries, and allocate
time for relaxation and hobbies. Physical activity, mindfulness, and healthy eating play pivotal roles
maintaining well-being.
6. Peer Support:
Establishing peer support networks can provide a safe space for teachers to share experiences,
strategies, and emotional support. Collaborative problem-solving can reduce feelings of isolation.
7. Recognizing Achievements:
Recognizing and celebrating teachers’ efforts and successes, no matter how small, boosts morale and
motivation. Feeling appreciated and valued is essential for teacher well-being.
8. Access to Resources:
Ensure that teachers have access to mental health resources, counseling services, and professional
development opportunities to help them cope with the unique challenges of the pandemic.
9. Long-Term Planning:
Incorporate well-being and self-care practices into long-term educational planning. Prioritizing
teacher well-being should not be a temporary response to the pandemic but a lasting commitment.
10. Leading by Example:
Administrators and school leaders should model self-care practices, fostering a culture where well-
being is a shared priority.
In conclusion, promoting teacher well-being and self-care during COVID-19 is not only an ethical
imperative but also crucial for maintaining the quality of education. By acknowledging the
challenges, providing support, and fostering a culture of care, we can help our educators weather
storm and emerge stronger for the benefit of our students and communities

The covid affected the human loss and economical losses in European 🇪🇺. People was suffered in cold, severe fever and some health issues due to cold causes. The covid affected in European countries by different times and different ways in different countries of Europe. The people of mentally apset because of the couldn't come outside from their houses and government of European countries has established more restrictions to people under covid.

People was brought their groceries and essential things on e-commerce apps. CHILD PARENT COLLABRATION

INTRODUCTION:

In tis blog ,we will see about exploring the ways to strengthen the collabration among the students and parents.

PTM AFTER EXAMS:

In offline class after exams, our parents will finish their work and spend some time to get the report card. But in online class, in the the middle of the class our parents have to ask doubts or the teacher should call every student one by one to speak about their ward's behaviour and attitude.

STUDENTS DISHONESTY:

Some students will cheat their parents in online class and the parents don't know about it. They will not listen to the class and sleep or do something which is not necessary like turn off the video and play .Teachers cannot check everyone's video whether they are listening to them or not .Some will often mute their microphones. Working parents have hard time to take their child ,but those who are not working (housewife) should take care their child .

SOME IDEAS INVOLVED IN STUDIES IN VIRTUAL CLASS:

By sitting near to the child checking whether they are listening to the class or not.

☺ By giving home test to them which helps to retain their knowledge.

☺ Keen observation should be done from hidden place to see what they are doing.

Giving them headphones to listen and to avoid the disturbance around their surroundings.

☺ At last, the students should not differentiate the offline and online class and work accordingly.

☺ By these points both students gets involvement and parents know how good their attending the class.  In offline class, If any student didn't get good marks after exams, then he/she have to attend 'REMEDIAL CLASS'

But in virtual class some students will forget it. If the teacher complains it also parents won't be able to attend the call for some reason. So, students should absorb the consept .

The impact of covid 19 on education of students with disabilities

The covid 19 pandemic has financially disrupted lives globally , with far reaching problems and consequences across various sectors. One area that has been significantly affected was education, especially for students with disabilities.

Limited access to gadget:

Students with disabilities depend upon support systems such as specialised educators and therapists etc…They need assistive devices, for example voice recognising devices like Alexa to easily connect to systems for online classes.

Reduced social engagement:

Isolation has affected all the students but for students with disabilities, social engagement has reduced drastically leading to mental depression, feeling  of loneliness, lack of communication skills etc..

Challenges of remote learning:

The covid 19 pandemic has become a norm during pandemic, but it presents a new level of obstacles for students with disabilities. Many struggles with technology blockade, inaccessible digital material and difficulties in concentrating online classes.some need assistive devices like Alexa which may not readily available at home leading to frustration and hindering their performance in academics

Increased educational inequality :

The covid 19 has aggravated educational inequality across the world, and students with disabilities is the most affected. Those from low income family often faced additional problems like lack of supportive home environment and network issues etc… making it more difficult for them to catch up

Conclusion:

The problems faced by students with disabilities cannot be understated.  The consequences faced by students with disabilities have been highlighted.Hope now covid 19 is completely disappeared, educational institutions and schools can now work together to bridge the gap.

                                                                                                                                    Tharun Pranav N

Homeschooling

 Introduction:

Covid has heavily impacted on homeschooling and alternative education approaches.Homeschooling is the boon to both teachers and students after pandemic indeed many students opted out for homeschooling and alternative education approaches.

Advantage to under archivers:

Students who are under archivers gain a lot through these ways. They can learn in coustimed way. They can include blended learning hands on experience and coustimed learning. In addition they can have one personal tutor to write exams in their pace.Another adavnvantage is the class size.

Hobby classes:

Another advantage of homeschooling due to covid is the holistic development of students.Students can utilise commuting time to pursue the hobby classes.Extra circular activities as well as academics can be met symontaneously.

Adavnvantages:

In homeschooling parents need not send their children to school. In homeschooling parents need not spend money for transportation and the travelling time of students will be saved. The main motive of homeschooling is to prevent the group gatherings which generally takes place in school. In school students get affected by any bacterias as the students will sit in group in school as it will spread from one body to another. In homeschooling parents will get to know about their children performances but in school studies they cannot know what their children are learning till parents teachers meeting. And they can have some knowledge on what they child is learning. In school students have to listen the classes from one place but in Homeschooling students can litsen classes from any place and in school students have particular time to come and particular time to go but in Homeschooling students can listen classes at any time.

Disadvantages:

The main disadvantage of this homeschooling is the constant internet connection and every one those who are in homeschooling must have devices like laptops, phones etc.People who can afford these types of schooling is only suitable for them.

Conclusion:

Not only schools tutions are also adopted these types of online teaching.Online teaching means students from far places can also join and learn as they need not travel. So, this can be used as an alternative.

Strategies to teach learners with different styles during the pandemic

 Introduction:

There are four types of learning styles auditory , visual , read and write , and tactile learners in this blog let us see the the strategies  to teach learners with different styles during pandemic.

Auditory learners:

This learning suggests that we can learn a lesson or a concept by hearing to blogs ,podcasts, audios or listen to any videos this is a very usefull method of understanding a concept because by hearing we can learn the concept very well . It is easy to apply in online classes

Visual learners:

This learning suggests that we can learn the concept by visual for instance watching a animation or a ppt. This is a very better method of understanding the concept because the students can learn the concept very well if they watch the video. This learners can also learn easily in online classes.

Tactile learners:

This learning suggests that we can learn the concept by touch or feel. This types of learners are practically link with the concept and they can learn the concept very well rather than teaching in class .this can be brought in online classes by doing hand on activities and experiments.

Read/write learners:

This learners learn through reading books and writing. They can also be made to learn in online classes by sharing pdf , giving home assessments and creating records

Factors affecting the learners during pandemic:

Teachers can't satisfy  all kinds of learners. Teachers planned strategies  to teach all kinds of learners .they can start ice breaker activities in class. Then she can narrate the story reading will be done by the students this will satisfy read and write learners to study. In some lessons she can provide video and audio related videos this will make the auditory and visual learners to study.she can make some hand on activities this will aid the students to study . Online class is boon to all students if the teacher inculcate all these activities in her class.

Conclution:

Online platform support all kinds of learners if the Teacher uses it properly.

Role of a teacher in the modern age

It is time for teachers to embrace their new role in the classroom as a mentor to children. Teachers can guide students by being a positive role model for them. This is particularly for students who don't  have a positive influence at home.

By incorporating a teacher-mentor mentality in the classroom, Teachers can coach children to adapt learning methods that suit their own learning style.

The world is changing-we have seen a huge technological changes over the past few years. With the introduction of global influencers and access unheard of 30 years ago. Such as today’s children, like adults, having smartphones in their pockets. With 24/7 access to information highway of the internet. Everything they could possibly want can be found on a Wikipedia page. So how can a teacher possibly compete with that?

As children get older, students soon find that they can skip going to lectures as they can access the same information online in YouTube videos and webpages. It’s time therefore to realise we need to change the way we teach children to stay up date.

Children can find everything about a subject online in YouTube videos and webpages. But that may not even be the most thought-provoking or interesting way to learn the material. This is where teachers can step in and present the material in a new way. Technology can be used to guide children’s learning and engage them in lessons, rather than simply providing knowledge to them. Changing the role of a teacher from the 'front of all knowledge' or a mere instructor, to a mentor or a coach will instead lead the children to become more conscious about their learning. Also becoming more independent and active in the process and inspire them to become lifelong learners.

It's is time teachers move away from teaching what to think and learn, to showing how to think and learn.

                                                             THANK YOU

Addressing the needs of gifted and talented students during remote learning

During remote learning there is no competition between students for education, and also in exam the talented student cannot win or score good marks in exam because, some other student can cheat. They may look up and write answers from internet, allowing them to win and score while the talented student cannot achieve good marks or secure first position in exam.
If talanted students participate in any competition and win, there is no value for certificate or award. Furthermore there is no competitive exam like neet, jee or upsc etc.
Even if they talanted students from low-in-come background there is no financial to buy mobiles or gadgets it is difficult to study.
They do not get chance to study in library and miss out opportunity to showcase their talent
Additionally, there is no public board exam for 10th and 12th so,there is no value for tenth and twelveth marks sheet. They also lack of extra curricular classes like music, dance, chess etc. Due to internet issue, students face difficulty to understand the concept properly. there is no proper intraction between students and teachers. Student miss many classes because electricity cut off at time. The students can't speak and play with their friends, and they cannot participate in any competition. Students need parant support

Addressing challenges in providing special education services during pandemic

In the times , such as pandemic , where the spread of covid - 19 had resulted school shutdown . Emergency remote learning was implemented in several countries and different education settings .

school closures made  it challenges for special education teachers to support their children with special needs and families. the whole education system had been affected .. all the children were impacted by covid - 19 ,  with social interaction being absent . Additionally , for other students it was very difficult that some could not attend their online classes due to some internet and due to some technical issues.. On the other hand teachers faced a great problems by correcting the answer sheets and assessment by sitting front of the electic devices . And also students kept their eyes sitting front of the electronic devices checking the particular school apps for home works and for other projects . In online classes teachers showed the particular lesson videos for better understandings.. And also they asked students to prepare the power point presentations for presenting seminars for projects and also for participate in seminars .

Especially, mathematics teachers and science teachers faced great issues to make students understand the lessons . the higher class students were unable to perform experiments in science labs and for primary students were unable to understand the geometric lessons . Additionally, parents were worried about their children seeing them sitting front of the electronic devices . The amount of time children spend with their families had been reduced . At school , the celebration of different events and functions was absent . For kindergarden students parents became their teachers rather than the teachers in schools . And also students attend their online classes while travelling and while eating . This caused a  major changes in daily routine of children .

During this pandemic period children missed their teachers and teachers missed their students !!!

                                   Thank you !

Impact of covid 19 on college admission and enrolment

Introduction:

Many standardized tests like the SAT and ACT were cancelled and conducted under different conditions due to health and safety concerns. This led many colleges to adopt test-optional or test-flexible admissions policies, where students could choose whether to submit test scores as their part of application.

Implications of covid-19 on education funding and resources

Implications of covid 19 on education funding and resources

The spread of covid 19 has sent shockwaves around the globe.many countries started facing it.since march 2020 the Indian government became more cautious and we have been lockdown since then.the schools and collages were closed and people started working from home.the education system was majorly affected by the covid.since the schools and collages were closed the education department decided to go with online classes which was very difficult for them who didn’t have phone or laptop .the governor took upcoming steps .

They interduced short term measures like:

*supply of digital learning devices

*financial support to students and schools

*funds for safety and cleaning equipment

Some people even lost their job during covid and due to loss of job they could not afford to pay fees.the schools helped us by providing education through virtual classes .the schools faced funding issues as they were supposed to pay salaries to the teachers.by 2021 the covid decreased the people felt happy, but not for too long as the second wave started .the relied on tech products for online classes and people lost their job and the same continued.the people got stuck in the villages and towns which was very difficult to come out.

People had to get E passes if they want to travel from one place to another.which was very difficult to get because some forms need to be filled through government websites which was very difficult to get.people faced internet issues and they did not get adequate supplies.

Covid has made everyone’s life difficult and it has also impacted in education funding and resources.covid has tested our ability to deal with large scale distribution in education and we have overcomed them too.

Impact of COVID-19 on education in conflict affected areas

Impact Of COVID-19 On Education In

                         Conflict Affected Areas

Introduction:

COVID-19 has had many impacts in our normal day to day life, but mostly it impacted on education. Millions of children worldwide lost access to education for months, especially children in conflict affected regions because school is a place where they learn how to interact with others and is also a source of psychosocial support too.

No Access To Technology:

Many kids in remote places of Africa and other places similar to it did not have the necessary technology to attend their classes because of this children in these regions lost 2 years worth of precious education. This put a major gap in Education between the kids who had access to the internet and technologies and kids who were in the conflict affected regions.

Difficult To Afford:

It also really impacted families who lived in the conflict affected regions because they had to go far away distances to work but because of the pandemic they could not go out. Hence many families had to leave their livelihoods which made it difficult to afford even basic needs. So education was out of their expense and the children of these families lost their education because of COVID-19.

Delay In Reconstruction:

In conflict affected regions many schools had to be reconstructed because they were damaged or destroyed by conflict. When pandemic hit  they could not finish the reconstruction of schools. And when COVID-19 was over, they had to delay the reopening because they were not fully reconstructed. This widened the educational gap.

Conclusion:

In conclusion the impact of COVID-19 in conflict affected regions has been very profound which made existing challenges worse like disrupted learning and rebuilding infrastructure. To prevent these, the local community or the Government should take responsibility that the children in these regions are ensured that they are not left behind.

The methods and techniques they may have learned would be relevant in the future

2.Practical teaching: again from the above those those who are in their in their training wont have any practical teaching experience as the pandemic has limited and disrupted the practical teaching that is classroom observation ,teaching and so on. Practical teaching is a important and significant part of all educators and and pandemic has limited it

3.adaptation to technological proficiency: Future Educators will have to be technologically proficient to engage and teach student online. This may lead them to learn new programs ,software , apps and so on but these new thing may help them the future
